This place was amazing.
Great food. Friendly staff that is very catering to people of all backgrounds.
The restaurant is small and also located inside a small food market/butcher shop.
The seats can fill up quick so if you are heading in during a busy hour, be prepared to wait to sit down or maybe get the food to go and enjoy at home.
I had the Costillas De Res. Very good and would recommend. I will be trying the gorditas on my next visit.
This place is authentic Mexican food and is well worth the visit. The place is inside a grocery store and the employees are seasoned veterans you can tell. Tias and tios with a lot of experience in making magic. First off the types of meats of available made me so happy. I love lengua (tongue) and chicharron (pig skin) as much as I love barbacoa and pastor. They got it all here for you. Anything you want. They can do burritos, tacos, tortas and everything. I went for three tacos and they are only 1.50 each. I went for Lengua, barbacoa and pastor on corn of course. Topped with onion, cilantro and lime and homemade hot sauce. I literally inhaled my meal. Flavorful and tender and all I wanted. I'll be back
Restaurant: Pastor burritos are delish. They are not fast food by any measure of speed, but the food is excellent, and worth the wait. No way of ordering ahead of time (phone number on Google doesn't work), but if you have 10 minutes, you've got to try breakfast or lunch here.
Butcher: Marinated tablitas from the butcher are to die for on the grill. Small produce section, fresh tortillas and salsas at the front.
I've come here a few times but always fail to do a review but this time I made a point to remember. I'm shocked that I even got a picture of my food before slamming it! This is a quaint supermarket that specializes in Mexican goods such as sodas, snacks and delicacies. To the left of the entrance is an area where one can order food and even dine in. I've never seen the place empty and today was no exception although I had a late lunch ( 3pm). I went in and there was a lady who I assumed to be a customer sitting at the counter. She turned and asked what I'd like to order and communicated it to an older woman preparing the food. I got a carne asada quesadilla with cilantro and onion. I ordered a coworker a chicken quesadilla. It seemed as though it took forever for the food to be prepared but in reality it was 20 minutes! The cost for each was $9.73 but oh so worth it! The food was still piping hot once I returned to work to eat it but was so damn delicious!! The 20 minutes that it took to prepare included love being added to the quesadilla! The picture speaks for itself. My coworker has mentioned daily how good her chicken quesadilla was. I'll definitely be back but can't guarantee any food pics . I rated 4 stars because it's not aesthetically pleasing and the time it takes to receive an order. The appearance would turn many off but I'm learning that sometimes the best tasting food doesn't always come from the best looking places.
Brought my son here and he was IMPRESSED. Me too, again. Tacos are $1.50. They are HUGE. We ate the carne asada tacos. Great. Do I like this place? Yes. It's nice to re-find a treasure in your back yard. And I thought I had to go to the North, South and East side for great food. It's all here! In Fort Worth!!!!! Go here. No lie.
